What does it say about us when you can tell me you’re fucking her, but not that you’re in love with her? When did sex get easier to swallow than love?
Wait. Pretend I phrased that differently.
But I can still ask the question. Trust me with your body, and know I won’t judge, but keep your heart closed to me because, because why?

I think you already know the answer to this question. It started when we as North Americans were given the option of safe methods of birth control paired with the sexual revolution, which, in my humble opinion is still going on. We still shriek at the front cover of a magazine with a nude woman but in Germany it’s not a big deal. North Americans are some of the most sexually oppressed and liberated people at the same time. I may have gone off on a tangent here.Maybe, to add on to the last commenter, sex has become more of a mechanical act and love/attachment are more valuable. As North Americans, we love talking about our feelings, and reflecting. This is probably why we hold onto emotions like love and fling our bodies around like it’s almost second nature.
